The Heelift AFO offers all the benefits of a traditional ankle-foot orthosis with the added quality and dependability one expects from a Heelift product. Unlike rigid orthotics that put patients at risk, the soft foam Heelift AFO prevents injury to the opposite leg. The semi-rigid polypropylene brace is designed to provide the best possible control of the ankle's position and motion, while also allowing for limited weight bearing.

Indications

The Heelift AFO is indicated for the following:

   • Dorsiflexion ankle support for paralysed legs

   • Comfortable night splint

   • Treatment / Prevention of plantar flexion contracture

   • Treatment of plantar fasciitis

   • Treatment / Prevention of foot drop deformity

   • Treatment of Achilles tendonitis

 

The Heelift AFO has a non-slip traction sole that allows limited bearing while preventing slippage. This feature is ideal for transfers from bed, wheelchairs, commode or physical therapy. Assistance is recommended.

The Heelift AFO offers the following features:

   • Customisable foam boot with 5 cm bevelled, fixed elevation pad.
   • Spare pad with adhesive backing to control external rotation.
   • Velcro® side traction straps.
   • Non-slip traction sole that allows limited weight bearing while preventing slippage.
   • Washable in a net or mesh laundry bag or can be autoclaved for sterility.
