Foot comfort is largely dependent on correct posture and weight bearing transmission during standing and walking.
The condition of tender metatarsal heads (ball of foot) accompanied by fallen or weakened longitudinal valgus arch (inner arch of foot) often creates a change of weight-bearing areas as the sufferer attempts to "walk around" the tender and/or weak locations. This transfer of weight to areas not intended for it can lead to further physical complications, and so it is essential to provide support and/or light corrective pressure as soon as possible.
