Supporter Orthopaedic Insert Soles
Foot comfort is largely dependent on correct posture and weight bearing transmission during standing and walking.
The condition of tender metatarsal heads (ball of foot) accompanied by fallen or weakened longitudinal valgus arch (inner arch of foot) often creates a change of weight-bearing areas as the sufferer attempts to "walk around" the tender and/or weak locations. This transfer of weight to areas not intended for it can lead to further physical complications, and so it is essential to provide support and/or light corrective pressure as soon as possible.
Key features are:-
Hygienic, washable at low temperature
Moulded for comfort
Unique removable segments, strategically placed to allow greater depth under tender areas
High resilience and shock absorbing, but light in weight
Shaped to fit into standard footwear
Pleasing cosmetic appearance
Good thermal qualities
Extensive size range, from size 2 to size 12
'Supporters' have been designed in three basic styles so that the potential wearer may choose the one most suitable for his or her condition. All three styles incorporate the moulded lip, shaped to "cup" the meniscus of the heel, and so assist in maintaining correct linear position of the foot during weight bearing.
Style A - Metatarsal and Valgus
Combined integral metatarsal and valgus moulds to relieve pressure on the metatarsal heads and to give positive support and light corrective pressure to the inner longitudinal arch.
Style B - Valgus (Illustrated above)
Moulded valgusfor support and provision of light corrective pressure to the inner longitudinal arch and to assist in establishing a "springier" and more anatomically-correct weight bearing body posture.
Style C - Metatarsal
Pre-formed basic metatarsal support designed to transfer weight from painful metatarsal heads accompanied by the unique removable segments to accommodate possible individual requirements for extra depth.
