A Post-Op Solution for all Seasons
The Hi-Boot - Rocker Sole
This closed-toe boot embodies nearly perfect all season post-operative protection that keeps dressings and toes warm and dry. It is designed to provide unparalleled versatility by accommodating both bulky dressings and most fibreglass casts and is used for the treatment of the diabetic and insensitive foot as well as a post-op boot. The square-toe design helps prevent overhang and acts as a bumper to protect the toes when k-wires are present.
Upper Section
It features a removable forefoot closure which can be re-positioned to provide a left or right overlap, making the shoe truly bilateral in appearance. This fastening system also eliminates buckle pressure and accommodates a large range of foot circumferences. The ankle strap seats the foot firmly in the boot to reduce heel slippage and eliminate friction.
Sole Section
The rocker sole gives a smooth “toe-off” for walking after surgery and reduces plantar pressure under theforefoot and heel by over 25%. The unique metatarsal shank increases support and rigidity under the forefoot, whilst the zoned outsole has an aggressive tread under the mid-foot where traction is needed most.
The removable insole uses twice the padding of standard insoles and can be modified as needed. The insole can also be totally removed to accommodate the Peg-Assist customisable off-loading insole.
